Perl Codesnippet: Fibonacci numbers
In our neverending admiration for the fractal-galactical order of the golden ratio as one can work out by dividing any two numbers in the Fibonacci series on each other {more or less}, here’s a {quickly made but tested} perl codesnippet. In Ubuntu, for instance, save it to programname.pl by gedit and type perl programname.pl on the Terminal {shift-ctrl-t}. The program works up to 32-bit, which is conveniently thought up as up to 2 billion (although it is strictly speaking a little more, and, when unsigned, twice that much):
