        If there’s ever a day when Emil doesn’t find himself tempted to go into a gorgeous-looking flower shop on the way home, it truly will be a sign that he has lived too long. It’s not a temptation he tries terribly hard to resist, if the fact that he immediately ducks inside is anything to go by— there are more important things. Flowers, for instance. Once he’s inside a small smile pulls at his mouth, even as he moves further inside and takes a deep, pleased breath.
