Feeling Good Feeling Great!
Was able to swap out my work laptop after my was camera trippin for the past 2wks. I wasnt pressed on it but my boss kept bringing it up. Funny thing is as Im leaving the office, a coworker shares that they've been waiting 8 months to swap their laptop ...Ayy benefits of being IT lol. More importantly was finally able to get a 2nd monitor, soo clutch! Been using my tv but its not ideal & definitely not portable. I stay sliding.
On another note been working on a project with my boss & 2 other coworkers pertaining to implementing a new Data Strategy & Access to Data. Previously I felt like I wasnt delivering the value needed for us to move forward with this project but we've since pivoted & now its been dope to lock in & brainstorm ways to get to solutions but also implement them in real time. Im better at winging it anyway. We've been trying to apply agile & iterative principles but there's been friction due to the stakeholders we're dealing with. A positive is that I'm learning the functionality of Power BI & should be able to add that into my skillset by the end of the year. Big Data tings ah gwan!
On another other note, me & my guys are back on a side project. Formed an investment group with some of my close friends w/ the purpose of getting into real estate & other oppt. We've done remodeling projects throughout the year bt wanted 2get some real estate projects under our belt b4 the end of the year so that we can understand our workflow as a group & the overall scope of work around remodeling w/ the purpose to flip or rent. We tryna hit the ground runnin' 2021.
...On another other otha note. While in the office I decided to sign up to volunteer w/ distributing PPE tmrw at my job. So the young blk lady lets me know to wear something comfortable. Meanwhile the older blk lady gone say, "make sure you wear a muscle shirt, its been awhile since we've seen some eye candy"... lol bruh(She use every exchange w/ me to, usually tactfully, come at my neckk!) I said oop let me get up otta here lol see yal tmrw.. Now Im not the "If a man wouldve done that blah blah blah" type. It did had me thinking tho of how Ive dealt with that dynamic with older woman since I could remember. One memory when I was a freshman in HS, I could nvr stay in my seat & was alwys active. So I use to go ovr to the other side of the classrm (lowkey my crush sat on that side) along with two upperclass blk girls. I think was all cool then one day one of them goes "oh fresh meat" & proceeds to flick my wee-wee thru my gym shorts. I felt dumb violated. Aint knw how to process that. I can't even imagine what women go thru on the opposite end of that dynamic. Anywho iono why my mind linked to that. They gone see some muscles tmrw tho lol... by default since I workout & I need a comfy shirt to sweat in.
