#h doodles#character design tag#oc#volpe#bahiyya#pokemon gijinka#pokemon#thievul#boltund#YAYYYYY#GOODBYE!!#i was wondering what to do for boltund's bald head and then i was like wait...hijab style...?#hijab cosplay is SO CREATIVE it didn't feel too practical for a knight so i fear i wasn't very creative here#these also aren't very. historically or culturally specific </3 bahiyya is wearing some pretty western-style armor (tho granted most of the#arab armor styles i was able to find that weren't cosplay pieces modeled by white people also had chain mail n plates)#and then volpe is wearing the christopher columbus 5000#she's based on like..italian.....merchant core...idk...her name is obv derived from the italian word for fox but i secretly based it#on 'volpone' which. im mentally ill about (check out ben jonson's 'volpone' 1606)#her style of hat (made famous by robin hood) is called a bycocket which was common among medieval western merchants :)#(WHICH if we're getting meta complicates the timeline bc the term 'volpone' was popularized BY jonson's play which occurs in the#early modern era (post-medieval). ok ben jonson is not canon in my pokejinka universe i can do whatever i want)#so i think these two come from families who move all over the place and met on a crossroads somewhere and became fast friends#after a tense friend breakup they meet again many years later in a great port city........#i haven't stream-of-consciousness blabbed out lore in tags in actually ages that was so freeing.
