What a journey it’s been, yeah? Our lads finally got their chance at a home of their own, the Mill, in 2016. Aaron and Liv’s name were on the lease but it was Robert that would make it a home for the three of them.
Robert took what was a burnt out shell of a house and built it back up to the most beautiful version it’s ever been.
After their second reunion, it became a true home that included Sebastian.
But what happens when the love of your life, your everything, your soulmate, cannot be with you anymore?
You try to do something about it which, in the end, only has you mentally defeated by your so-called loving family members (one of which PROMISED he’d be looked after - ha!), leading you to suppress your feelings from them to avoid drama and more mental abuse and manipulation.
Flash-forward two years. Defeated by life and, for all intents and purposes, not really living but existing (a shell similar to what the Mill was), the only recourse is to leave the village. Finally BREATHE without being SUFFOCATED by family who truly DO NOT understand what he has lost and treat him like a troubled teenager unable to make his own decisions. It’s time to heal (with his best mate, Adam) and to live, do what Robert wanted him to do - have the best life. And one day, one day he and Robert can have the TRUE life they were meant to have - TOGETHER.
For us? Aaron (actually BOTH) is OURS now! He is no longer part of canon and we can (and will) give him the ending he truly deserves - with his forever love Robert, Sebastian and their football team of kids. The show was unable to figure out how to utilize him but the ones that truly understand both our lads inside and out are our fic writers. May they write for many years to come and not lose the motivation to do so. You are truly appreciated!
