We Bare Bears movie and finale

Not gonna lie I am gonna miss that show. It was cute and had fun moments. (Also won’t lie will be kinda tweaked if Teen Titans go for another 4 years and I had to say goodbye to a good show/unless it was the creator’s choice like it was with Gravity Falls, I respect that)

As for the movie in general, I enjoyed it. I think I’m gonna be a bit disappointed that this gave me a bit of a few questions like with Steven Universe ending.

We never got a Yuri/Ice Bear reunion or conclusion, considering he found out the bartender was Yuri’s daughter.

Ice Bear never got to really finish off his enemy either that rich crazy guy 8B.

We’ll never know either if Nom Nom will find his family, that Kyle ep made me wish he could have found them 8B.

I recall correctly that the creator said the Bears have other “doppelgangers”. Kinda wish if that was the fact we could have seen more8B. 

I wanted MORE Chloe & Ice Bear moments, too dang cute.

In addition to Chloe, I wanted to see more of their friends interact. I mean yeah in the movie Lucy, Tabes, Darrell, (also kinda wish they could have showed him a bit more too 8B) & Chloe all stood together but up until now I’ve never seen them acknowledge each other or interact. Tabes & Charlie were the only ones that got to have an ep. And I guess judging by the ending I guess Lucy found out about Charlie? I WISH we could have had those eps XD

And speaking of Charlie wish we could have seen if he would have found others of his kind. I mean there had to be more other than Ralph 8B

And while I did love that we FINALLY got to see them meet OTHER bears. It made me wonder wish the show could have given us more eps with our newly introduced/freed bears.

WOULD HAVE LOVED An ep with Chloe and that adorable cub who was in her class 

Kinda wish this would have made them wanna find some family? Maybeee? I admit it would had been a longshot, Panda would probably be the only able to at most.

Lastly wanted ONE ep of them dating a female bear XD. Sorry guys I know its a cartoon and I’m reading too much. But well yeah BD;. I mean they met their own species they could have had one ep of them dating a female bear.

Thats about it. I did still enjoy the show and I’ll miss it but it had a good run:).

Killjoys 5 x 10 “Last Dance”

OMG, this finale was everything I’ve ever wanted. And nobody died! This is how you write a TV show.

We started with a group hug before the final showdown, aww.

Dutch used Khlyen as bait to lure the Lady to his cube on Arkyn while the rest went after her body on the Armada and Delle Seyah and Aneela procured Qreshi missiles via Aneela’s shear hullen power.

The Lady opened the cube and wanted to clone Jaq because he was too unique and precious to risk damaging him.

But when she went to Arkyn, he freed himself (he has some tricks in his sleeve), and then saved D’avin’s life – because that’s why he had sent the Lady the signal to discover him: he had had a vision of D’avin dying and had to come save him. Aww.

Jaq was also shot, but not fatally, since he heals although not as quicks as Aneela – but it got Aneela come to the Armada in all her fury and together they found the lady’s nasty spider/octopus body and killed it.

Meanwhile, Zeph found the Lady’s stash of experimental patients, one of them being Pippin, who’s alive, himself, and his spider has shrunk, so they got their happy ending.

The Lady made Dutch and Khlyen fight to the death, but Khlyen reminded Dutch of his 10th birthday gift to her – a knife she was always supposed to have hidden on herself – and wanted to kill him before he would be made to kill her.

Fortunately, her stabbing him coincided with the others killing the Lady’s real body, so she didn’t actually have to kill him.

Alas, the Lady dispatched who-knows-how-many ships with the hatchings across the J before her demise, so they now have to hunt them down.

Dutch was trying to convince the Lady – whom she didn’t kill, either, because she’s now a human trapped in a human body and kept in Khlyen’s cube on Arkyn – to give her info on them under pain of death, but she also brought her a doll in one of Khlyen’s red boxes. Aww.

Poetic cycling back to the past all around. I liked it.

Delle Seyah named Pree the governor of Westerly and Aneela will give the refugees land on Leith until they can rebuild.

Also, Aneela would have Delle Seyah rule with her as human, but she offered to share the green with her and to see if there is enough to make her hullen again, which is what Delle Seyah chose and I guess it worked.

My only complaint: barely a glimpse of Fancy.

Johnny prepared to leave and Dutch told Lucy to take care of him and bring him home safe in a year (there was even a nice reference to him maybe finding Clara, yay.)

She also told D’avin she loved him, too.

But first, the three undertook one last task together to kill a few hatchings – and it was the most perfect ending of perfect endings. TAF FTW!

So, that’s it.

What a ride it was!

Oof course there have been things I’d like to see (more of) and the show wasn’t without glitches (you know I had some complaints, one in particularly, but it was subjective), but overall it was really, really good and very-well-written, and I can say for myself one of the best TV shows I’ve watched in these five years – if not the best, since unlike some others with comparable writing it wasn’t cancelled.

I am so glad I’ve watched it. I forgot who I have to thank for bringing it to my attention, but thank you!

I do a very self-indulgent, nostalgic walk through my years of being a Homeland (particularly Peter Quinn) fan and writing fan fic for the show.  I write about my first Homeland fan fic and chuck in some favourite scenes as well ...

So

I’m doing something I almost never do. I’m giving up a on a show, and not even because it’s bad or anything. 

I’m letting you go, Jane the Virgin. I was shocked by the sudden plot twist, of course, but I stuck with the show for a couple of episodes after that. It’s just that I feel like the heart of the show, its emotional core, was the thing that resonated most with me before, and now it’s sort of missing. 

(Yes, yes, I know...how dare you give up on a show with such great representation of Latina women just because of that plot twist? GASP. Yeah, whatever. Fans of color (oh, IDK, like me, for example) deserve to have shows with decent/satisfying narrative structure too). 

I’m just having a really hard time being interested. I yawned through most of the last episodes and never managed to get all the way through it. 

It was fun while it lasted. *sigh*

SPN S15, Part 3 (Eps 19 & 20)

Thanks a lot, SPN, made me cry like rain, FFS. But in a good way, yeah.

Not perfect, as the whole show was far from perfect (from all fridging of women to queerbaiting and all its other faults on), but not a bad ending.

I think we’ve all expected a LOT worse.

Although, of course, it could be better.

It is a bit ridiculous that of all the things Dean survived, a nail (though a rather big one) got him in the end.

And we could’ve used one last glimpse of Cas. But Bobby said Cas had helped Jack sort out Heaven and Jack only did that after getting Chuck’s powers, so I guess he did break him out of the Empty? Well, I choose to believe he did and Cas is in Heaven, too.

Jack’s getting Chuck’s powers and becoming a hands-off God was actually something I didn’t expect, either, but I don’t hate it.

(ETA, because I forgot: I did not like that Chuck killed Adam along with everyone else, but I think Michael siding with him despite everything was very in-character, it made sense he would not side with the Winchesters who forgot about Adam and him in Hell for 10 years – an eternity for them.)

I liked that Dean didn’t kill Chuck, choosing to be a different version of himself from what Chuck insisted he was.

Free will definitely reigned till the end.

I do think that, in contrast with some other awful shows, SPN gave us not one but two good endings (not perfect, as I said, but good.)

You can pick the one you prefer. I liked both, even this one. I mean, Dean got to go to Heaven and Sam to die peacefully in his old age and they were both happy and got to reunite in the end and I can live with this.

And so ends an era.

It’s been interesting 15 years, also from a personal point of view – what all I’ve gone through in all this time! (And TBH, a lot of times I didn’t think I would survive – reminder to self, as they say: you’ve made it through all the worst times so far!)

I’m glad I started watching this show way back in 2005 or 2006 (I don’t remember, we got it with a delay) and then picking it up again after a break in 2012 (in 2007/8 the TV network that ran it here went bankrupt and I lost track of a lot of shows then), binging the whole 7 seasons in like a month and a half.

And then I kept watching (with the exception of S12 & 14 that I rage quit (but maybe I’ll watch them when/if I do a rewatch, because at least the first five seasons are calling for it.))

And now here we are.

Without SPN I would’ve never watched that other new Kripke’s show (even if it went nowhere ;)) that made me write and make friends with wonderful people and was in some of the hardest times one of my lifelines (along with said friends.)

So, again, thanks a lot, SPN, for existing. Despite the bad and the meh, the good in the end, I think, prevails.
