Florida state Rep. Mike Hill ...
so Today at school
we had a sub in class and she kept accusing and harking on this boy about little different things and finally he just had too much and threw his hands up and said, "god!" to himself and sat down. I know this kid very well, he's a close and trusted friend, so when she stood up and said to him, " Maybe you should call someone else's name! You should call someone who knows you." I was pissed.
My friend is an active Christian, I am an Atheist, I swear I have never felt the urge to violently attack someone but after seeing the look on his face because of her comment.... I just... ugh.

Be All You Can Be...Why?
Hear me out, because all of these Bible quotes DO in fact have a point.
Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created human beings in his own image.”
God is huge and unique in every part of Him. How uniquely different does that make you from every other person?
Matthew 5:13 says, “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.”
This verse is referring to faith, but part of how you reach people with that faith is through your unique personality and understanding of God. Meaning: don’t lose who you are and don’t be afraid to flaunt it, because that’s your saltiness, your flavor; it’s what makes you tasty - your God-given gift.
Luke 8:16 says, “No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.”
We each started as lamps without light. And then God breathed life into us and put us on this Earth to shine…
...And Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
In other words, don’t cover that light up, because when you let everything that you love and everything that makes you unique visible for the world to see, you make your maker proud, not only because what He made looks good, but He looks good, too.
So, what’s the point I am trying to make? Experiment. Have fun. Stop worrying. We are all different and those of us who don’t try to hide it may be more noticeable, but we are happier, too. It is better a life-time full of joy, though we get second glances, than one repressed and blending in, but always wondering what could have been. Express what you love without restraint, so that everyone who sees you wants to be you.
