Six years ago a producer googled "Social Media Guru"...what he found was a blog post that I had written. I stated that there is no such thing as a "social media guru" because social media changes so rapidly. That evening @jasonhartelius put me on @fox5ny with @ernieanastos - I did ok. Ernie was amazing to me. Such a gentleman. Old school guy with more talent in his pinky than most others on TV. They kept asking me to come back and back. I eventually made it to the @gooddayny couch. To grow up in New York and to be a guest on the couch is an experience I'll cherish forever. The people at Fox took a shine to me and allowed me to come on to chat about everything from @charliesheen to @facebook - I had been let go from my dream job only a few months before. Getting those TV appearances catapulted my business @silverbacksocial To heights I could have never even dreamed of. Reach for your goals. Drive yourself as hard as you can, and remain true to your true beliefs without pandering to anyone and opportunities will start to come to you. Remember to be true to yourself, put out amazing work into the world. Demand more from yourself. Don't accept mediocre. Push to be great. Who knows, maybe you'll end up on the couch with @rosannascotto and Greg Kelly one day.
