i saw someone ask if Maki was worse than Naoya after the massacre. do we understand what a motivation is. traumatized, abused teenager destroys a misogynistic system after it murders her twin sister and many before her. sadistic, privileged adult man believes women aren’t people and sexually abused his child cousins to exercise his control over them for fun. you can’t truly call Maki a good person anymore, but you can clearly see she is fighting to break abusive patterns in jujutsu society and save lives. Naoya is a rapist. A Rapist. whose character is introduced by his flippancy about Naobito dying and decision to murder three children to secure his position. Gege wasn’t pulling some switcharoo, those are Naoya’s actions meant to define his character quickly.

and don’t get me STARTED on “Naoya raping Mai is an interpretation of his words that I don’t believe in, don’t treat it as fact!
