GoodGood Milk Tea Opens First Outlet in Quezon City
With all the milk tea shops popping out in every mall and street corner, it’s getting harder and harder to differentiate them from one another. They all seem to be offering the same thing, so I’m not really going to line up for just another cup of milk tea. But I just discovered this new beverage shop from Taiwan which offers so much more than just your usual milk tea. Their colorful selection promises not just to be good, but they are doubly good.
GoodGood Philippines opened its first outlet in the country just last July and it has already garnered a loyal customer base who keep coming back for their fruity juices, indulgent smoothies, and creamy milk teas. You can find their pioneer branch in Quezon City at 49-C Scout Tobias Street in Baranggay Laging Handa, just a few blocks away from the bustling Timog and Tomas Morato commercial areas. This residential street is fast becoming a trendy new area for foodies with Goto Tendon and The Lechon Shop flanking this new cozy hangout spot.
The cute and relaxing interiors offer a great place to unwind after a long school day or a hectic afternoon in the office. The outlet is air-conditioned but there is also an al fresco area outside the doors. While there is limited parking in front of the shop, you can still park your cars in the streets on the next or preceding corners.
GoodGood is a popular franchise from Taiwan which has now entered the Philippines for the first time. They have an extensive selection of teas, fruit teas, milk teas, juices, and smoothies to choose from. Just place your orders at the counter and wait for your delicious cups to arrive.
I was amazed at all the different and unique items offered at GoodGood. This is probably the most colorful selection of beverages I have ever seen and everything looks so yummy.
Let’s start with their line of milk tea which is not just the usual variety. The Black Rose Milk Tea (P140) is made with black tea, fresh cow’s milk, and rose syrup. They use farm fresh cow’s milk on all their milk tea products and not just processed milk in tetra packs so you can taste the freshness. This one is topped with a flower cup as an add on (+P40) that not just makes it so Instagrammable, but also gives it a unique and fragrant smell as you drink it.
Almost all milk tea shops now offer brown sugar drinks, but not all of them can say that theres are topped with torched cream cheese! The Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Cream Cheese (P160) is really topped with freshly torched cream cheese that turns into a caramelized layer of goodness. And it’s not just a thin layer of cream cheese. Just look at how thick that is!
You can also go for the more modest version called Triple B (P140-cold) which stands for Brown sugar, Boba, and Black tea combined with fresh milk. I still suggest ordering the one with lovely cream cheese.
They also have a hot version of the brown sugar milk tea since you can order the Triple B hot instead of cold. This is the only place I have seen that offers this option so coffee and tea lovers should really try this.
What I really love about GoodGood is their non-milk tea selection. My favorite item is the Mango Tea with Cream Cheese (P160) which has a combination of locally sourced mangoes and a hint of green tea. This is then elegantly topped with cream cheese.
Their signature Fruit Teas are made with all-natural and freshly squeezed juices. One of the specialties on their Fruit Tea line is the Red Zen Tea (P120) which has a combination of dragon fruit with lychee and tea. This drink is so refreshing and is quite different from other beverages on the market.
The Sunset Tea (P160) is made with fresh juices including orange, grapefruit, citrus pulp, and passionfruit with a hint of tea. You can really taste the fruity flavors in each of their drinks.
GoodGood also has very pretty smoothies like the Strawberry Blonde (P220) with its frozen mix of strawberries and oranges layered with chia seeds. On the other hand, the Berried Treasure (P220) has a combination of blueberries and strawberries layered with fresh cow’s milk.
If you just want juices, they also have the Green Grin (P160) with its Kiwi and coconut combination. Nothing is ordinary at GoodGood and everything is just as pretty as they are delicious.
I found myself absolutely loving their Chocolate Milk with Cream Cheese (P150). This has a triple layer of fresh cow’s milk, chocolate milk, and cream cheese on top of one another. It just looks so yummy and beautiful, don’t you think?
GoodGood has also partnered with Booky, FoodPanda, LalaFood, and Grab Food delivery so you can satisfy your milk tea and cream cheese cravings wherever you are in the city. They will also be expanding soon in Bulacan, Banawe, Ortigas, and other parts of Metro Manila so expect to find a GoodGood branch near you soon. I’ll be back here really soon for more of that Chocolate Milk.
