After struggling for half a year, Amy was finally getting cut some slack. She earned herself a promotion; people around town where finally starting to take her seriously... It felt good.
To celebrate her good fortune, Amy made plans with Goodwin. Though he was one of her closest friends, she’d barely seen or heard from him sense she started this job. She was so excited to see him again that when her shift ended, she ran out the door, leaving her purse in the break room. She didn’t realize her mistake until she was half way to the bar.
Unfortunately, when Amy stepped back inside to find it, she found something else entirely; something that made her blood boil. Sofia was standing there, dressed in the clothes she commissioned off Amy some months before, receiving a consultation from one of Amy’s talent-less co-workers. Amy stood frozen for a few moments, watching them discuss how best to find the “total opposite of Amy’s design.”-- Sofia’s exact words.
Amy exploded. She said some things to Sofia that you can’t really take back. But maybe that’s for the best. Who needs friends like that?
