2- Hair color you want to try?Oooh, if I ever did anything I think I’d want to do that thing where they color just the underside of your hair. That way I could conceal it if needed for work, but braid my hair or put it into a bun and reveal the glorious color! As for the color I’d try, either a cool blue or a purple. Maybe a bit of both? 

As of now, I’m not in the market for any big makeovers though, haha! 

5- Which animal do you like best?Whenever I get too frazzled, I’ll look at pictures of baby bears. Pandas, especially. I love me a good, snoft bear. :D

49- Your favorite book and why?I really enjoyed the Artemis Fowl series as a kid! If I had internet access at that time, it definitely would have been my first “fandom.” I especially loved all the deep character development of Artemis, and following his and Holly’s emerging friendship over the years. And dang, the world building in those books was really impressive to me at the time.

excuse me thE STAPLE GUN INCIDENT

Ah, yes.  The staple gun incident.  

It was back in the early days of Utumno.  Things were busy, as you might expect in a company that’s trying to gain ground in an expensive and competitive market.  Everyone worked very hard for long hours and few days off, Melkor included (believe it or not).  And you know what they say--work hard, play hard.  Or something like that.

Anyway, it was a Friday night.  Melkor and Gothmog had worked 12 days straight.  They were a little burnt out, and Melkor decided they needed a break.  Now, it was never really clear how they ended up in the design workshop, but there they were, surrounded by expensive and potentially dangerous tools.  So what did they do?  Had a staple gun fight, obviously.  As one does.  

They spent some time running around the workshop, pelting each other with high velocity projectiles, having some harmless fun (their words).  Things got a little intense--I know, shocking.  But it’s true.  Eventually, Melkor ran out of ammo staples, and he convinced Gothmog to call a truce.  So Gothmog, being the nice guy that he is, laid down his gun in good faith and definitely did not shoot Melkor a couple more times for good measure.  Either way, the battle was officially over.

Now, the succeeding sequence of events remains, to this day, unclear.  Gothmog swears Melkor dove for the gun when he laid it down.  Melkor swears Gothmog is just a paranoid shit and imagined ill intent on Melkor’s behalf.  Whatever the intent or the instigating actions, one thing is clear: both boys lunged for the gun.  Melkor got a hand on it, and Gothmog did not.  Melkor pulled the trigger, allegedly accidentally.  Was it an accident?  Was it a little revenge for the pot shots Gothmog had taken at him?  Does it really matter his intent?  Whatever his thought process, he managed to drive an industrial staple through Gothmog’s index finger.

There was, fortunately, minimal damage done.  It didn’t even require stitches.  Gothmog went to the emergency room, got it removed, had the wound disinfected, and got a tetanus shot and a round of antibiotics.  Melkor bought him dinner in exchange for withholding an admission of guilt.  Gothmog managed to convince Melkor to pay him workplace compensation and give him a week off.  Melkor also took the week off, and the two of them dicked around, played video games, and gorged themselves on whatever Gothmog felt like cooking.  So, you know, no hard feelings.  Still, Gothmog brings it up from time to time when he wants to guilt Melkor into something.  It almost never works.

i know we've done a lot of fyd winter asks already but i couldn't recall if anyone had asked about winter foods/drinks? so if no one did then i ask >:o

Ask away, my dude :D  maybe if I think hard enough about winter-themed asks, i’ll forget about the actual stupidly cold winter weather that’s currently happening RIP

Okay, so it’s established that Mairon is me fucking hates winter.  So he likes to eat anything warm--and by warm, yes obviously I mean scalding hot.  This works out well for Gothmog, who loves to make winter foods like soups and stews.  Gothmog’s chicken soup will banish a cold in two days, max.  Unless it’s Melkor who has the cold, in which case, it’s being milked for everything it’s worth.  I should also add that while Mairon likes iced coffee in the other three seasons, he won’t touch it with a ten foot pole in the winter.  He institutes a complete moratorium on ice from November-March.

Melkor will really eat anything, regardless of season, so nothing stands out much for him in the winter.  Except maybe holiday dinners.  Thanksgiving (technically fall, but whatever), Christmas, New Year’s...Gothmog goes all out, and Melkor goes all in.  Bring on the mashed potatoes, son.

Thuringwethil in particular likes winter-themed drinks.  (Me too, girl, me too.)  She’s always pretty stoked about the return of the peppermint mocha.  Also likes hot alcoholic drinks, like an Irish coffee, or the even cozier combination of hot chocolate and Bailey’s.  

In summary: hot food and (preferably alcoholic) hot beverages are the only redeemable part about winter, obvs.

Ok I got curious- what places/states in the American South West would you want to visit if I can ask? :o I've only been around the Central South (I know it well xD) and New Mexico with my mom a while back to see where she'd grown up.

Oh man, so many places!  There are a ton of national parks I’d like to see--Arches, Zion, Rocky Mountain, Grand Canyon, Saguaro, Mesa Verde...ok, let’s just say basically all of the ones in the four corners states.  I’d also really like to see Death Valley and Joshua Tree in California.  I’ve never seen a desert, but it is probably the thing I’d like to see most in the world.  Did you go to any cool places in New Mexico?
