“We should go for dinner,” he suggested, it would be a welcome break from the hospital and all of the drama that came along with the hospital. “You and me.” Conrad smiled, he couldn’t not smile when he looking at her, it was like looking at the sun.
‘I heard about Eve’, Lillian says, watching Lena move around her office, watching for any sign that she’s still suffering the effects of the drug, ‘and Lex’.
She knows that her concern won’t be appreciated. Knows that Lena will think she’s here for some nefarious reason, not just because she heard that her daughter had been hurt. By Lex. Her son. Guilt claws at her throat, and she takes a steadying breath. ‘Are you alright? I heard... I heard you were hurt’.

Well, for now, hopefully a long while. His world was at a complete state of peace. For now it didn’t need him. But he had someone there to protect it. Just in case, while he went and did good else where. Now here he was, Earth 38. Now he just needed to work out a cover for being in this city. National City. He’d already worked it out with this world’s version of his family. Who had daughters instead. Useful. Then he sensed this world’s history, of the man known as Lex Luthor and how awful he was. He sensed he had a sibling, but he didn’t assume she was bad. When he sensed her, he was right to do that. She wanted to do good. She deserved to. But haters were about to prevent that. By ending her. Aw hell no! He disappeared from his spot, reappeared at the alleyway scene, catching the bullet in his hands. Then he crushed it. “That, is no way to treat a woman.” He had a pleasant face, which transformed into a serious look of disgust. They shot multiple bullets at him, which just hit the ground as he teleported to each of them and struck them out cold. Then he made restrains appear on them before he turned towards her. “Are you alright?”
"i know you’re used to supergirl flying you around and all, but i’m afraid i’ll have to disappoint you, miss luthor. i can’t fly. just glide around. so we better start running until we reach my bike if we don’t want whoever almost killed us to get to us. deal?” she asks with raised eyebrows. she’ll obviously take care of anyone trying to actually do any harm, like she just has, but it’s better if she gets the woman out of danger first. just in case. maybe take her to the deo headquarters.

❝ i think so…? ❞ in reality, ava has no clue. fingers trace her jawline absently as eyes squint at the object in front, a small tank of sorts. the director vaguely recalls ray explaining what it is – sea monkeys, or something. ❝ honestly, sweetie, i have no clue. i may have not listened when it was explained to me. i’m sure they’re fine. i’m certain ray would have left step by step instructions for us to follow if they weren’t. ❞
‘ knowing uncle ray, i feel like he did leave instructions somewhere. he probably doesn’t trust us. well, he trusts you, but he probably doesn’t trust me. i mean, i break almost everything i touch. ’ that much, was true, she realized. considering how many times she’s broken multiple items of his just by picking it up to examine whatever it was she was looking at. ‘ like... do we just... leave them there ? do we feed them ? how do they work ? ’
It’s a stupid thought. She knows that. It’s a dream, an impossible scenario that she’d be foolish to indulge in, and yet...
He looks familiar. Like she’s seen him in a dream, or in a faded photo she hasn’t looked at in years, and before she really knows what she’s doing, she’s crossing the room towards him, her heart pounding hard against her ribs.
‘Excuse me’, she says, staring at this man who somehow looks like her, ‘but I was hoping I could have a moment’. She sticks out her hand, and her hand trembles only a little. ‘Lillian Luthor’.
