In case you aren’t the kind to keep up with these things, here’s a short list of things in the platform draft that you might want to know about. This is all as it currently stands. It is a draft, and can possibly change before being ratified. However. The core of it unlikely to shift.
Support for ‘Conversion Therapy’ for LGBT youth as decided by their parents.
An official description of coal as: “an abundant, clean, affordable, reliable domestic energy resource.”
A condemnation of Planned Parenthood, and a stance against all abortion without exception
A call to place on the court "committed judicial conservatives, like the late Justice Antonin Scalia, so that the Court can begin to reverse the long line of liberal decisions — from Roe to Obergefell to the Obamacare cases."
Encouragement for "state legislators to offer The Bible as a literature curriculum and elective" in high schools
A declaration of Internet pornography as a "public health crisis."
A provision known as Kate’s Law. Aka. “a mandatory five-year prison sentence on any illegal alien caught trying to return to the U.S. after being deported previously.”
Language standing against Gay adoption, or ‘cohabitation’ regardless of gender. Aka. Unmarried couples living together.
A condemnation of Obama’s rule advising schools to allow students to use the bathroom matching their gender identity as "illegal and dangerous."
An official call to build Trump’s Wall.
