There’s one parallel in this episode that has made its rounds in the Jonsa community, probably one of the most recognized jonsa scene parallel. It is when Jon/Sansa got sex advice from Tormund/Margaery. I’m going to add a lot more parallels that were happening in this episode, but let’s start with that one sex advice thing.
1. Sex advice
For God knows what reason Tormund was giving Jon sex advice
While Margaery was trying to help Sansa facing her upcoming marriage with Tyrion Lannister.
No wonder this episode title is “The Bear and the Maiden Fair”. But there’s a whole lot more than just the sex advice. And I mean, a lot.
2. Kind
Margaery also remind Sansa that Tyrion has always been nice to her.
While Orell thinks Ygritte shouldn’t be with Jon but with one of her own.
3. Pretty face
Let’s continue with Orell’s complains. He thinks that Ygritte loved Jon because he’s pretty.
While Margaery was trying to convice Sansa that Tyrion is really not bad looking. To which Sansa roll her eyes so hard.
Uh-oh, Jon is really going to scar his pretty eyes, huh?
4. The Lord’s son
Orell’s rant is not over yet. He thinks Jon promised Ygritte to be his lady and live in a castle.
Well, that’s what Tyrion really is.
5. Castle swooning
Would Ygritte swoon if she ever sees Winterfell? But she saw a windmill and thought it was a King’s palace.
While Sansa who grew up in Winterfell actually swooned to an actual palace built by some king. King’s Landing.
Oh you bet he does!
6. Learning and teaching
Sansa was confused how Margaery knows things about sex. She asked her how she knows all this and if it’s her mother who teach her.
Jon was trying to tell Ygritte that he thinks the wildlings’ attack is going to fail, because he knows that all the wildling attack in the past has failed. Six wildlings attack and all of them failed. He learned the North’s history.
Okay, Jon. Glad you learn a lot even though you didn’t have a mother.
