“Leave me.”
I’d probably have a very similar reaction.

This episode title: The House of Black and White
Writer: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss
1. Ale gives men courage
Sansa tried ale and she did not like it.
She asked Littlefinger why men like it so much, to which he answered that it gives some men courage..
Well Sansa, Lord Baelish didn’t have any ale. He refused it moments ago.
But there was somebody in need of some courage, and he was drinking his ale. Here is Jon during the Night’s Watch Lord Commander election.
And he won!
2. Suspicious to outsiders
Brienne of Tarth approached Sansa to offer her service. Baelish tried to push her away by playing the “family” card.
Meanwhile, before the election, Stannis Baratheon is having a talk with Jon. Stannis was frustrated having received the letter from Lyannna Mormont stating that Bear Island only acknowledged the Starks as their king.
3. Refusing an offer
Stannis offered to legitimize Jon so he can use him to control Winterfell.
While Stannis demanded Jon to kneel to him, Sansa instead had Brienne kneeling before her, offering her service.
They rejected these offers.
We know that later Sansa finally accepted Brienne as her sworn shield. I wonder if Jon later will accept an offer to become Jon Stark, Lord of Winterfell.
I just love the contrast with Jon and Dany in regards to their family status.
Dany constantly had to fight and prove that she wasn’t like her father, the mad king. She had to prove that she wasn’t crazy or cruel like the rest of the Targaryen, that she was better than what her family name suggested.
Whereas Jon is the complete opposite. He struggled his entire life to prove to himself, and to his family, that he was worthy of them. Every single decision he ever made was done in hope to bring them honour, even though he felt like nothing would ever be good enough to accomplish that, because he didn’t share their last name.
This is fucking with my mind.
