Jon’s first meeting with D/enerys mirrors the meeting where he had his first lesson from Jeor Mormont
Never in my entire existence as a jonsa shipper I imagined I would ever made a j0nerys parallel (well, sort of parallel). If anyone said that Jon and D/any’s meeting is the point of the entire series.... they are not wrong! Everything that Jon has gone through was indeed to prepare him to meet D/enerys. I have found out two episodes that have a strong jonsa parallel has helped in trying to understand Jon’s behaviour in season 7. First, episode 3x01 helped for understanding the Dragonpit meeting, then episode 3x05 for the wight hunt.
Now @thelawyerthatwaspromised has pointed out before that Jon truly applied everything that he learned from Jeor Mormont when he met D/ny , but Seven Hells TLTWP, I know your meta are always on point, but for that one, I don’t think you realize just how right you are! Because the first time Jon meet D/ny was scripted to mirror exactly the first time Jon meet Craster with Jeor!
“Everything that happens will be something that you’ve seen before”
I realized this because I have combed through Jon’s scene with Craster to make a Jonsa parallel post. And because two Jonsa parallels that I found has linked to his behaviour with D/ny in season 7, I thought why not this one, and what about the first time they meet at Dragonstone? So I did a rewatch, and holy shit!
First I’m going to quickly summed up the Jonsa parallels that has brought this post.
Jon and Sansa in 2x01 - The North Remembers, where Jon and Sansa can’t help themselves and blurted out in front of an enemy and has to be saved by Jeor and Sandor.
Jon's first and last look to queen of his heart.

I'm still crying.
Melisandre: We will see each other again before the end. I need to die in this wretched land. Just like you, Lord Varys.
Me: UMMM. You mean he'll die at the end of a long and peaceful life, chilling at Tyrion's vineyard that he totally deserves, right? RIGHT?? Because that's the only acceptable ending.
I’m sorry Dany, but you losing a brother you never met, and actively killing the other one, doesn’t really compare to Jon losing Robb and Rickon.
"Tell Cersei; I want her to know it was me."
