Dougal whispers something to Jamie after he gets home. Claire, watches with raised eyebrows. Jamie nods and Dougal slips out.
He is responding to a tip that the bastard Bonnet is at a pub. He decides to see then call the police. For he wishes a talk with him first.
He slips in and scans the place. A smile when he sees him in a corner table entertaining a lass. Well looks like he gets to rescue more then Geillis and Claire this night.
“Bonnet?” he looks up with a sneer.
“Eh, who wishes to know?”
“I've a message from Randall.”
“Who?”
“Come, let's talk outside.”
“I am busy as you can see. “ Dougal smiles again and the lass cowers in the booth. Bonnet just returns it. Good, they are on the same place. Makes it more fun.
“No reason to upset the lady.” Bonnet finally raises. He starts out without leaving money for the drinks. Dougal throws some down with a sigh. Not even a gentleman enough to pay. He then follows him out.
“Fine, you've my attention. What does Randall want?”
“Just to tell you he isn’t taking all the heat for the attack on Claire and none for the arson of her house.”
“Sounds like the chap is in a spot of trouble. It is to bad.”
“There was no one in the house. They are both still alive to testify.” He is rewarded by a flash of fear. “That is his message. This is mine.” He punches him straight in the stomach. Caught off guard, he simply collapses. He lifts him back up and hits him again. “That was for Claire and Geillis you bloody bastard.” He then cuffs him and calls the cops.
A quick text to Jamie. ‘ We've got him.’ Before heading back in to make sure his date has a way home.
