talk 2 me about bobbi and chuck!!!!!!
so chuck is a husky that bobbi found about a year after bobbi came back from the skrull planet. at the time, she’d just gotten her own place (a shitty little studio apartment in queens –– it was kinda shitty, and she definitely could’ve afforded better, but she loved it and it was quick and it was hers), and she was just starting to get an actual routine together. the wca was just starting to get off the ground, and she found chuck as a puppy one cold february morning while she was out for a jog.
bobbi found chuck half dead on the side of the road, and bobbi pretty much picked her up and speed walked the little puppy to the nearest vet’s office, and told them to do whatever they needed to do to save her. they figured the dog was abnormally small, half-frozen and not likely to survive, but bobbi couldn’t/wouldn’t let it go. it was touch and go, but the puppy was a fighter, and eventually bobbi took her home.
bobbi’d originally intended to take the puppy to a shelter after she got a little bigger/stronger, but?? like it just kinda never happened, and it kinda turned into bobbi just thinking “ok, she’s gonna be here for a little while, so i’ll buy her a bed and some food…..” and then it turned into “well, she’s gonna need some toys and a leash…” and eventually, after like a month of taking the dog everywhere, bobbi just decided that she may as well keep the damn thing.
bobbi originally named chuck “charlotte”, after charlotte’s web, but then it got shortened to charlie, and then after like two days of calling charlie charlie, bobbi figured out that she liked chuck better, and it’s been chuck ever since.
tbh, ever since chuck could actually walk, she’s been following bobbi around. anywhere bobbi goes, chuck basically follows; she hangs out at bobbi’s feet when bobbi’s not doing anything, and she’s always getting kisses and ear scratches from bobbi. like i don’t wanna say that they’re essentially codependent, but that’s really what it is. they look out for one another, and they essentially take care of each other. bobbi relies a lot on chuck for emotional support, and chuck definitely tends to kinda look out for bobbi in terms of watching out people she thinks might hurt bobbi and/or anything that might upset her.
on the other hand, they also bicker like nobody’s business, bc chuck is 100% one of those huskies that talks back. they argue over everything, from what movies to watch and how much pizza chuck’s allowed to eat, but they always love the shit out of one another. chuck sleeps in bobbi’s bed, at bobbi’s feet, and just about anybody who wants to sleep in bobbi’s bed with her has to deal with a slightly smaller-than-average alaskan husky bein’ a little suspicious of them.
their favorite activity is hopping in the car and going for long car rides and winding up at the beach!
idk, that’s all i’ve really got, just know that bobbi loves chuck more than she loves most people, and that chuck would fight ten vacuum cleaners for her mama.
