Jerome Valeska would definitely be on the asexual spectrum, and my personal headcannon for him is demisexual. His perception of sex would without a doubt be skewed by his mothers promiscuity. He refers to her as a whore, and he says it with the intention of it being a slur—which tells me that he is absolutely disgusted by how flippant she is with sex. He despises promiscuity, he would obviously be against people who sleep around. Meaning, by extension, he would be against sleeping around himself. Jerome is 100% a virgin.

In my opinion, Jerome would be put off by the idea of sex with a person unless he had that established bond of respect and affection. Or, in his case, it would include feelings of possession as well. Only after these feelings have been established would he feel comfortable enough to engage in sex, as it is the complete opposite of the process that his mother went through. Lila fucked men because she could, and I think Jerome wouldn’t want to emulate that behaviour in any shape or form.

This was better in my head, it’s just hard to put into words. But essentially, I don’t understand people who think Jerome is someone who just jumps into bed with people.

Also while I’m at it, imma drop my Jerome headcannons that I think are actually true to his character.

A few days ago, I started watching Gotham from the beginning. And while the first season has had SO MANY wonderful things in it, I admit I squealed like the fangirl that I am during the episode The Blind Fortune Teller. 

IT’S JOHN AND MARY BEFORE THEY WERE JOHN AND MARY. Rival families. Hilarious bitching and bickering.. Just. AHHHH!

And then this happened and it blew my mind:

I mean.. I already knew who he was because the internet is full of spoilers and I’m years late in joining the party, but I didn’t anticipate such a sudden introduction to him. 

Anyway. 

I’m gonna continue flailing over how much I’m enjoying this show and hopefully not spam y’all too much.
