You know before I watched the last episode of Gotham I was like 'you know it's unlikely Oswald and Edward will end up together but at least they spent 10 years together', then the final episode crushed those dreams.
At least they are together now, even if they aren't canon...
Ed still is so sure that Oswald is in love with him. Like he assumed that 'i'll miss you' was directed at him and answered without second thought.

He saw her from across the floor and was almost taken aback. Even with a large number of party- goers her face and hair were unmistakable. It had been a while, but he knew from the look upon her own face that she felt the same.
“Miss Kyle,” he said as he strode over. Slowing, with his cane. “You are looking quite well.”
She responded with a smile and a bit of teenage whit. “And you clean up nice for a cripple.”
He laughed, only knowing she was joking despite the serious tone of her voice. Then he stared at her with tired ageing eyes... remember a time before a time ten years prior when he indeed had broken his back. Fighting Bane, it was something so long ago yet when he thought about it now he could still feel the pressure of being thrown against his back. Selina had been there for him, just as she had been there when Bruce went away; and even though they would never admit it to each other, they leaned on one another in his absence. Both heartbroken and alone, they kept each other alive.
“Do take care of yourself,” he reminded. “And best stay out of trouble.”
“I always do,” she smiled.
