The Addams Family (1964)
Speaking of vampires I just finished interview with the vampire tv series and omg I say there through season 2 waiting for lestat I'm sorry but I hated armand I wanted to fist fight him the entire time I sat there yelling at the screen for Louie to go back to lestat like go to your boyfriend already you miss him he is your husband loui
... Also the arguments in this show are peak like they're unnecessarily funny I need season 3 immediately I'm so excited to see who they cast as akasha
hand to god the black and white, grainy quality of early dark shadows immensely enhances those arcs for me. like the format is perfect for the least comedic, least lighthearted period of the show. it gives a feeling of, “oh, i see, the events shown here are so disturbing, so personal, so closely guarded a secret, that of course a record of them should be reaching me in this mangled condition, having somehow reached me at all. the quality indicates that perhaps i should not even be seeing this.” it’s very foreboding. like once we transition to sci fi color footage works but the butchered recording condition is integral to the early seasons’ gothic analog horror atmosphere
Zone Blanche (Black Spot) | Season 01, Episode 01
Fortunately for you, that is.
Where are all the Gothic TV fandoms? And I don’t mean, like, American Horror Story, but the weird, obscure, more gothic and less gruesome horror, shows like The Kettering Incident and Zone Blanche. These are some amazing shows and I’d love someone to chat with about them.
