the anon please. stancy makes 110% sense moving forward and the exes to lovers trope is common and often shown much love so i find it very weird so many people DESPISE stancy with a burning passion….weird on their part! i think it would be worse for jancy as a couple that miscommunicates so badly to be the canon couple at the end. i mean im all for my pipedream stoncy endgame but the writers are clearly showing us something and it certainly isn’t jancy

and YES i don’t understand this take that somehow exes to lovers sucks and that it negates any character development? like HELLO have y’all seen like, idk, the parent trap? the notebook? or like 90% of television shows where exes get back together all the time??? it’s a huge trope and it can absolutely be done well!!! what is so wrong about “right person wrong time” and “we spent time apart and grew up and now we can have a second chance with each other as more mature and fully realized individuals” THATS HONESTLY BEAUTIFUL?! the whole “it ruins their character development” argument is like ?? to me. like you don’t have to like it but i just don’t agree that character development is the problem here
PLUS the stancy breakup wasn’t even that brutal in the first place!! it was just like an “i can’t do this because of all these external forces acting on our relationship” it was never “i hate you and i never want to see you again”!!!!! obviously stoncy is the ideal situation but lbr it’s never going to happen.
and YEP the writers literally couldn’t show it to us any harder. jancy had what. one scene together this season? meanwhile they spent like HOURS having nancy make eyes at steve. like idk guys but i *think* they’re setting something up here
100% agree it’s all kim’s fault like she could worn anything she has endless resources to have a recreation of marilyn’s dress made……what exactly was her message or purpose or reasoning other than she’s a rich celebrity who thinks she’s a gift to the earth? bye
