canon as george lucas intended: anakin genuinely loved padmé. padmé understood and loved anakin for who he was. yes they were flawed but their love was a good thing and they were ultimately doomed by the narrative.

okay i actually do like one thing that fandom brought to anidala, and that’s anakin regularly calling padmé his angel. it’s honestly adorable.
“my love” is canon. we see it being used in the ROTS novel and movie as far as im aware.
“mé” is sweet. and i accept this one as well. but i actually don’t know where this one came from.
babe is horrible. baby is… acceptable, but probably only in a modern au. im on the fence about it. if you use these two, i genuinely don’t care. you do you! this is just me being picky when writing MY fics.
