"If you think I won't liquidate my entire wine cellar and any outside orders, you're dead wrong.~" (@resident alco vampire lmao)
“And if you don’t think that I already have plans for that which involve pulled strings and secret funds, you’re sorely mistaken.” Nikola spoke, smirking. “Besides, what could possibly have happened to cause you to consider such a drastic course of action?”
🌈The sad silence after a violent storm, debris and wreckage everywhere (@nia)
The storm of ice and snow had been terrible. THe worst this season. Many were dead and many more still were without homes or belongings. They would have to dip into their stores for those who were without. Nia glanced at hte woman at her side. “We have weathered worse,” she stated. “We will survive this as well. Azgeda does not falter.”

💀A cemetery full of dead, dry flowers as if all of the plots have been forgotten, some of the stones cracked or sinking into the dirt (@bellamy)
This cemetary looked like something out of a horror movie. Bellamy wasn’t entire sure that something hadn’t gone down here. It seemed like the type of place that was just packed to the rafters with ghosts and ghouls of every kind. He pressed his way to the mosoluem and opened the door, squeezing sounds echoing off the marble. He peered inside. “Is someone there?”

‘ you’re in no condition to be walking around. ’
@graceabided
her condition did not seem to matter, so someone speaking as though it did was enough to make her falter her steps; that was the intent was it not? certainly she was proving that it worked but as quickly as luna’s eyes rested on the woman, they moved back where she had been going before she had been stopped, to the space of free desk on the far side of the lab.
“is that you suggesting i lay back down on a table? which one would you prefer?” maybe it was not a question that luna needed answered but she still looked at the woman as she moved to that desk that she’d been after, and slid herself carefully up to sit on the edge of it, just as she had planned to do. “perhaps if people stopped toying with my condition.” perhaps she wouldn’t feel so precariously balanced on an edge. that was humanity though, was it not? balanced on an edge and teetering by every single choice that these people around her were making. she did not know this woman, but she knew that she was different than those moving around her; she had yet to be the person placing needles in her, not yet at least.
"At least one of us is sane~" (@nigel)
“Is that what we are?” Nigel asked, laughing. “M’not sure either of those descriptors apply to us after everything we’ve seen, eh?”“By which I mean,” he continued, winking, “You’re right, and I’m the sane one.”
Are they in denial of anything? Why or why not?
Currently? Not really.
However, in the past, he spent nearly a decade insistent that he was in fine health. He refused to let others know how much it hurt to breathe or keep moving. He did his best to keep up a decent image - refused to stop smoking socially, though did in private, and continued to exercise vigorously despite the pain it caused him. This stubborn belief that he was fine is a large part of why he will not recover for a long time. It takes a while for over a century of overworking himself to death and back repeatedly to be manageable.
