i just wanted to say that as long as you're doing your best, there is no reason for you to listen to him. i know it can be hard (trust me, I've been there) but just remember that those are still AMAZING grades. also remember that grades aren't everything in life. your happiness is worth more than a 100 :)
you’re so sweet (i’m sorry for the late response) and this means a lot!! and you’re right dnsksjs tbh i love my parents a lot we just have that immigrant parent/child thing going on sometimes
my good grades , implore me to arson
*Sigh* Perfectionism
Obsession with grades
(I seriously went on extra credit rampage at the sight of a 95% grade o_o)
Countless hours on a single artwork or craft
(Darn you spontaneous angles! Do I have to bring out the protractor I can't use properly?!)
Trying to fix things that aren't too bad, only to make them worse...
(Ah there's a slight smudge of blue on the detail of her dress. I'll just....OH NO A BLOB. Why did you betray me magical instrument of color?!)
The things in life that we just need to be more than just "okay". even though we're completely aware that nothing will ever be perfect. We can get close in the way we perceive it, but someone else will see it differently. Does perfection have a definition? It's all up to the person, which is why the obsession with perfection is a difficult one to conquer.
It's not easy to be satisfied. There's always something that can be improved! However, I think some things in life are better without all the fuss and improvement. They're great just the way they are. :)
Or I have to at least convince myself of that.
But sometimes, there's another perspective to observe closely. Sometimes we need to be greedy in order to get things done the way they want in excellent clarity. Impressive, without limits, and striving for the best to create the best there is. Yeah, it's not perfection, never will it be either, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. It all depends on the value of it to the person huh?
