Today I managed to get out of bed early and go to the grocery store. Admittedly, I went to the store that is closer but more expensive so... my wallet hurts a little bit more than it could have. However, a lot of what I bought is going to last me quite a long time so I’m telling myself it’s okay that I spent most of my food budget.

Anyway, I came home and made a casserole that is going to feed me for at least the next week. And if you guys could see my kitchen, you would know just how much of a challenge it is to cook anything including a frozen pizza.

I finished my presentation slides, as well! And then decided to conclude my night by making my spread for next week and I am honestly in love with this. Lavender and Halsey? What could be wrong with that?

Today I had to pry myself out of bed and go act as a testing monitor at one of my worksites.... which means I woke up half dead and had to go sit in a quiet classroom for just over two hours. Now I’m attempting to finish my class readings before I take a nap. We will see how that goes! Wish me luck!

I can’t believe I’m 30 days into this already! Today is all about my proposal. I’ve decided it shouldn’t take me more than two hours to complete and I’m going to use Forest to help me out. My first semester of grad school will be finished in one week and that blows my mind! Okay! Let’s get this done!

Had a presentation today. It was a little bit rough but overall went well; my professor seemed really happy with it. I psyched myself out because there is a lot at stake with this research proposal. Either way, I’m giving myself a movie night, starting with The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society. Time will tell if I call this a self-care or a treat yo self night!

Also, taught myself how to pop corn on the stove and it is a success!

Sorry it’s been a couple of days! I finished my proposal (the grade came in today! Aced it!) and decided to give myself some cool down time before I start my last assignment.

Tonight I’m enjoying some late planning for the week and I’m happy with the way this journal spread turned out. Ignore the blank spaces, I didn’t figure you needed to see my packing lists (going home for a month requires some thinking) or what all I’m hoping to accomplish this week. Tomorrow I will turn all of my attention to my last assignment but tonight I’m getting my head organized.

So, today I’m not sure that I’m going to really be that productive, if I’m honest. I was supposed to be on a bus right now but after a very frustrating hour and a minorly major meltdown which included me crying on the phone to my mother before 6:00 a.m., my whole day was thrown off. I barely slept last night so I went back to sleep until almost noon, treated myself to a tea-tree scented shower... and haven’t been able to focus on what I need to do. I’m going to try muddling through this section of my paper because, honestly, I know it shouldn’t take me more than an hour to finish. If I get that done, I can work on my methodology section the rest of the week and then be done with this well before the end of the semester. My goal is to get everything done early and coast through the rest of the term.

All I had today was work and that’s finished. With the rest of my day, I’m going to be packing, cleaning, and trying to relax before I get on the bus tomorrow. Since I’m not really doing anything that interesting, here are a couple of pictures of some flower/plant doodles that I did a while back.

I’m also looking for some good cheap ebooks (Kindle is preferred) or audio books that I can download for my bus ride home. Any recommendations?

I gave myself the last two days off (aside from work from 9-5 on Friday) so I didn’t do much in the way of productivity. Today I’m hoping to complete one of my assigned readings for next week and some housekeeping things that have piled up. I’m also trying to get myself back on a regular sleeping schedule because I’m tired of being exhausted all the time. How did I do this when I was younger?
