For the last freaking time, if English is your native language:
Pallet: Wooden thing hipsters take apart to build stuff out of.
Palate: Literally the roof of one's mouth, fig. one's tastes.
Palette: Flat surface where an artist puts their paint, or the color choices in a given artwork or aesthetic, or the collection of pans a makeup artist uses.
The difference is kind of important if you consider it.
Get this wrong and you're looking at mouthfuls of splinters, furniture made of old paint-boards, or a room smeared in jam, all because someone couldn't differentiate between near-homophones.
If you're a native English speaker, you have no excuse NOT to know this.
