GRAMMATRON

Είναι ένα διαδικτυακό έργο δημιουργημένο από τον Mark America, το 1997. Περιλαμβάνει περισσότερα από 1100 κείμενα, 2000 συνδέσμους, 40′ πρωτότυπης μουσικής, σύνθετες δομές υπερσυνδέσμων γραμμένων σε γλώσσα προγραμματισμού Javascript και μια συλλογής πολλών εικόνων τόσο στατικών όσο και κινούμενων. Πρόκειται για μια ιστορία για τον κυβερνοχώρο, το μυστικισμό της Καμπάλα, των ψηφιακών χρημάτων και συναλλαγών και την εξέλιξη του εικονικού σεξ σε μια κοινωνία που φοβάται να βγει έξω και να έρθει σε επαφή με την πραγματική της φύση. Το GRAMMATRON παρουσιάζει έναν μελλοντικό κόσμο όπου οι ιστορίες δεν είναι πλέον σχεδιασμένες για την παραγωγή βιβλίων, αλλά για ένα διαδικτυακό περιβάλλον και θέτει το ερώτημα για το πως θα συντάσσεται, θα δημοσιεύεται και θα διανέμεται μια αφήγηση στην εποχή της ψηφιακής διάδοσης.

grammatron: A few years ago I stopped at some random barber shop and walked in and everyone working and everyone waiting was black. But, you know, I couldn't turn around and walk back out.

I guess I had kind of a blank expression on my face because the barber stopped talking to the other guys in there and asked me what I needed.
