Brian and Roger
Soooo it’s almost 2 am here and I can’t sleep because I keep thinking about how Brian and Roger live..
Like they are obvious neighbors, because come on! But Roger is living the rockstar live in a big fancy house with 4 or 5 cars in his garage and probably a pool in the backyard! And he would tell his family all about all the rockstar parties he was at in the early years. And all the parties he’s still going to. And they would all be like ‘sure sure, whatever makes you happy’ but they would be so happy for him that he still gets so excited about these little things like still playing with his best friend in this band they created in college and going to the globes and stuff
But then there’s Brian. Probably living in an apartment or something with Anita. Not a small one, but small enough to be cozy. But big enough to have a room full of his space stuff and books! He’s probably this big lovely grandpa who keeps telling his grandkids about the early days as a rockstar and how they really should think about the environment and ‘OH LOOK AT THIS STAR, that’s named so-and-so’ and his grandchildren would be embarrassed, but they love him so much so it doesn’t really matter.
And yeah this is what keeps me up at night
Additions: once a month they visit John to see if he’s okay and talk about all the good times. Sometimes they even try to get him to play with them again
Roar
"I can't do it." James huffed. "Dad could do it at 13, why can't I?"
"Don't compare yourself…people master spells at different times." Remus said calmly. "Padfoot couldn't cast a Patronus reliably for a long time."
"It's true." Sirius said, sliding closer and putting his arm around his grandson. "But Moony helped me." He and Remus exchanged a smile over James' head.
James rolled his eyes. "I want to try again," he declared.
"Ok." Remus said. He stood up next to the boy with his hand on his shoulder. Sirius stood next to him on the other side, both keeping contact with him. "Got a memory?"
James nodded, took a deep breath and roared, "Expecto Patronum!"

Pirate
"I am not leaving the house like this.” Remus said, staring at himself in the mirror.
“Harry’s expecting us.” Sirius said, from the bathroom. “So are the grandpups. They want to see us in pirate costumes…it is a theme party after all.”
Sirius emerged from the bathroom in full pirate regalia, down to a hook that he was fidgeting with.
“Well, that’s just not fair.” Remus said, eyeing Sirius appreciatively. “Of course the costume looks good on you.”
Sirius came up behind Remus, and moved the collar of his velvet waistcoat out of the way. “Like what you see?” Sirius purred into his neck.
“Only you would be a hot pirate, Pads.”
“Better behave yourself…or you’ll have to walk the plank.”
Remus turned around to face him. Sirius took the hat that was in his hands and put it on the dresser. “Are you going to punish me, captain?” Remus asked, a smirk playing at his lips.
Sirius grinned wickedly. “Yes. It’s down to the brig for you.” He took the hook and slid it against Remus’s bottom lip.
“We’re going to be late for the party.” Remus said breathlessly.
