I keep coming back to this same thought over and over again; That Grant Ward didn’t kill his parents and Christian yet they are still dead.

For some reason I keep having this thought that after Christian confessed everything Grant let him go and then someone, I keep thinking Thomas, came along and killed the family, knowing that if someone, namely SHIELD, didn’t believe the murder-suicide story they would think that the senator’s HYDRA brother did it, which is exactly what happened.
