Luckily, Ode and Luna were not caught and life continued as normal with a busy household and visits from the children from the children’s home.
The older boys decided to get out of the house and make friends. At school they learned that there was a house full of kids nearby. Mrs.Quarry ran the children’s home and despite her stern face Limerick decided she was actually a nice lady. Ode found himself making friends with the sole boy of the house, Grapefruit Conch, while Rondeau befriended the Forest sisters, Olive and Lima bean. Limerick was happy to meet the oldest of the kids a girl named Tamarind Wood.
The older boys liked to roughhouse often when they were at home though Vitrail figured that that was bound to happen with kids anyways. The younger twins liked to roam around town usually at the library though. While Treble was closest to Sonnet out of all the kids, Limerick and Vitrail grew closer since he was interested in his new baby sibling. Given how enthusiastic he was about the future baby, Vitrail wondered if she should be on the look out for future grandchildren yet though she didn’t speak her thoughts aloud.
Ode liked to spend his time with different people, whether at home, the children’s home or any of his various cousins house. Unlike Ode, Limerick and Rondeau spent more time at the Children’s home than anywhere. The more they visited the closer they got to the children. Limerick decided to use the money he earned by selling the fish he caught to take Tamarind out to dinner, they were nearly inseparable despite the impropriety of both of their respective situations the fancy restaurant they went to did serve them.
Though Gem had been elderly for quite sometime, no one quite expected it when she passed.
