If given for true the "Goji's big sad arc", are they gonna explain what caused it?

Because I don't think is because he is the last of his kind(which was Kong's arc and since Dagon is no longer a Godzilla specimen, it looks like there's no one to miss)

It's about the humans that used to worship him? I mean, we had the (out of scene) reference that Goji choose to lay in the colossieum because or reminded him of his old Temple/shrine.

But the Wingard movies made pretty clear that he can easily say, fuck them humans, if they get in the way of duty (=⁠_⁠= no comment)

Mothra is back so not her, what's left? Suko?

Honestly, I think you’re giving this more thought than anyone writing the movie did. I’m guessing the movie will have another three year timeskip, so they’ll have plenty of time for Godzilla to be up in arms about.. something, maybe it really is that Mothra died offscreen and they’ll make him seem like a manchild if he can’t do shit without Mothra.

Although, it probably is about the ancient humans if they want any reason for him to be sad. I believe it’s canon he fondly remembers ancient humanity, not that it matters because nobody on the writers team gives a shit about canon. Maybe it’s random guilt over killing Scylla and Tiamat and now he’s depressed? Who knows or cares because I don’t..

On one hand I'd mostly be glad that people recognises that Godzilla is alone, and probably it does bother more than was shown(and a big middle finger to the "Godzilla doesn't have emotions, he's just an animal" crowd, fuck them honestly)

But again the executions(if leaks are confirmed) is so lackluster? Not even trying to be original?

I think Godzilla can show emotions just fine, remember the look he gave Ford in G14? They just don’t want him to show any positive emotion, I remember how hyped everyone was when he laughed in GVK. I’m telling you that the ‘Godzilla can’t show emotion’ crowd is propaganda, characters don’t have to be humanoid to show emotion.

After the lazy shitshow that was GXK, i’m not remotely surprised they can’t be original. Why would they if they know they’re making money regardless? Don’t get me wrong, a little effort would be great, but most of the fanbase will be satisfied as long as they get good fights.

Speculation up: but why replicate 1:1 the toho movie??? Why Suko'd be kidnapped by SpaceG, he and Goji have no relationship??!! Even excusing that is Godzilla "letting go of the past" or some shit, he is Kong's kid!!!! He's the emotional connection to him. Are they trying to imply Godzilla NOW, (three movies in) trust Kong enough to care? So he cares now? Went around slaugthering titans in their domains and now!!! He cares??

Well, according to previous leaks and specilation Godzilla’s arc in the movie is a rehash of Kong’s GXK arc where he’s lonely and sad.. So he forms a bond with Suko!
