I love Tommy for treating Buck like an adult and respecting not only Buck's but also his own boundaries. He's patient and understanding, never blames Buck for being a bit of an idiot on their first date, but he won't be shoved back into the closet. It's even in the little things, like when he doesn't pretend to like the coffee Buck got for him. I'm grateful that Buck has someone who is his own person.
Tommy reminds me of myself. I grew up in a bad environment and, with it being the 90’s, didn’t have the resources people have today to learn any better. It took me growing up and becoming an adult to do my own research and become a better human being. I love him because he’s a flawed human with a not-so-great past and he shows that we all have the ability to become better people.
Tommy literally risked his job and his life for his former captain. He's sassy and funny, attentive and sweet. He's everything that Evan needs.
the way tommy treated buck on their first date was literally so so sweet like calmly reassuring him when he was visibly freaking out and being vulnerable about his experiences but also smoothly transitioning back to being flirty with the "I guess its just me that makes you nervous" line. MWAH 🥰 he's just very sweet and gentle
Tommy Kinard, the man that you are! He’s so cool, he threw down with the 118 to save Bathena and others. He and eddie clicked and are friends and I think it speaks volumes that eddie had him over to his house several times and introduced him to Chris! Bobby saw early stages of his growth and who he is now and said he’s good people!! I love how good he is with Buck, how well they read and respond to each other, how he shows up for him. Tommy’s honest and open and it’s obvious it took work to get to there. He folds into the 118 and has so much potential as a character! I love what we’ve seen of him so far and can’t wait for more 🥰

i love tommy because he allowed eddie to have fun again! i love how two became such besties. i also love him for not wanting to feel like he’s pressuring buck into anything and that he’s letting buck set the pace of their relationship! tommy kinard you will always be famous
