April 2, 2016. ☝ Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to tech during the Volunteer Leaders Assembly! Back on the grind. Amazing how the pressure excites me. 😊
Day 62 of 2016. 😄
Yesterday was full of surprises. Both good and bad, but mostly good. From work, to my dentist visit, to dinner company. Even with a challenging work surprise, the Lord still allowed me to enjoy and be thankful for the rest of the day. In the end, Hanamaruken is beginning to be my comfort food. Especially after a drilling (see what I did there) and weakening dentist visit. Thank you, God, for the surprises! 😊
Day 61 of 2016. 🎓
Yesterday was the beginning of March. And for those people I trust, they know why this is significant for me. Bittersweet in all its aspect. But such is life. I am ready and grateful that the month of March is here. The Lord holds my heart and will take care of whatever emotions I will encounter this month. Cheers! 😊
Day 60 of 2016. 😰
Monday. Today, I am thankful for many things -- food, time, company. But more than those, today I am most grateful for an incident that seems to be a burden. I might have been caught off-guard, but I was faced with a reflective question: "What if he was right?" We go about our days carrying a sense of confidence of who we are and that what we do is right. But somewhere along the way, people remind us to challenge that belief; to take some time and reflect. Today, I was forced to look again at myself and my actions, and re-evaluate whether this is the person I want to be. And it was difficult to accept at first, painful even. But its a good question to ask every now and then. Let us not simply 'get used to' our habits and our actions. Everyday, it is healthy to review and see if we are living the life that we want. If our actions speak of the characteristics we want to embody. And so that was today for me. ☺ Tearful, but hopeful. Happy Monday! Happy leap year! 🎉
Qweek Recap: Days 53-59 of 2016.
So I haven't been posting my gratitude posts for this week. I could come up with multiple reasons why, but they're just excuses. Truth is, I haven't been conscious about taking the time to create my gratitude post, which was precisely the idea why I started the project. So here I am, making up for the missed days (in text), and committing to better updates the following months to come. 😛 Day 53 of 2016. 💯 Grades are done! Last Monday, we inputted the final grades of the students for the term. It was a challenging term for me because of the project-based assessment. But I am confident that with the students receiving their feedback, there shouldn't be a problem. I was able to submit them on time and input all needed grades. Yay! Day 54 of 2016. 🙏 Tuesday was a little disturbing for me. I had some assumptions that made me upset (overthinkers, you know what I mean), which eventually made my overall mood negative. So I am thankful for prayer. There is a sense of calmness when you are able to talk to someone about your worries and surrender them to the Lord. Thank God indeed. 😊 Day 55 of 2016. 🎹 I started playing the piano again! There is something about its sound that just excites and moves me. I am happy and thankful to have an opportunity to play and be "forced"into practicing again. Will most likely be posting about this again. 😄 Day 56 of 2016. 💌 With the holiday, I was worried about being productive last Thursday. But thankfully, I was able to follow through with my plans. Most important task I had to do was send out letters to schools for my thesis. More than a dozen were sent out and I am hopeful that they will be received well. Follow up this coming week! Day 57 of 2016. 😥 Rest. Friday was rest day for me. I was able to finish my work and didn't have to bring them home over the weekend. I got home early and slept really early. I 'caught up' with some sleepless nights and was able to rest for a good 12 hours. Really! Very grateful for sleep. 💤 Day 58 of 2016. 👚 Saturday errand was to go to a fitting! I was sooo excited to see the base of my gown for a friend's wedding. It fit really well, which is both good and bad. Good, because then there will only be little adjustments. Bad, because that means I must not gain weight in the next 3 months! Good luck with that. But, I'm even more excited for the final one! 😆 Day 59 of 2016. 🎥 Today was "do-what-I-enjoy" day.. kinda. So I woke up really early for my advisory class' 10k run. When I got home around 8am, I slept for another 3 hours and woke up to eat lunch and snacks (chocolaaaaates). The afternoon, I spent editing the video for our La Union trip last weekend. (I'll try and upload it on Facebook.) Then attended the 6pm service. I am grateful for no-worries days like today. 👍 Whoa. That was the week! Exciting, busy, blessed. 😊
Day 52 of 2016. There's so much to be grateful for today! But mostly, I am very happy I got to spend some time with this bunch. Big families are always funnn! In this picture are our nieces and nephews with our cousins in La Union. My grand daughter is also there; and of course, mom, sister, and brother. The trip was just so tiring and fun! Trekked a good 2 hours to this hidden gem called Tangadan Falls. And even though the water was cococold, I still jumped off the falls! Very grateful for the wonderful weekend, made extra special by the company. 💞
Day 51 of 2016. Look at this adorable ball of joy! She’s my gratitude post for yesterday when I met her, though the photo was taken this afternoon. Can you believe it? This is, generationally speaking, my very first grandchild! Well, my sister says she’s our first cousin twice removed. In layman’s term, my cousin’s grand daughter. Sooo, kinda claiming her to be my first apo. Truly a #LolaOfManila now! Haha. 😊😍👵
Day 50 of 2016. 📄
Wow. A busy Friday indeed! But I am very thankful that although I had to work overtime, I was able to finish the grades! I am ready for a recharging weekend that'll be both tiring and fun. 😛 No work weekend for me! And that is something to be grateful for.
