Hold My Heart, Treat It Tenderly

It is hard for me to forget the abundance of GinTsuki stuff that were rolled out in recent years.

It’s hard for me to believe, even, that soon after the massive success of the Love Incense OVA dvds as the stats have proven here that were released in August 2016 and November 2016, Sorachi drew this poster for the Grand Gintama Exhibition in December 2016 where Gintoki was pointing his wood at Tsukki

First of all, let me just say just how much I love this poster!!! Sadaharu, Kagura, Shinpachi are placed directly above Gintoki. Otae is of course next to Shinpachi, and she is also mostly above Kondou and the Shinsengumi. Yamazaki is struggling not to get covered. Kagura and her family are next to one another. Shouyou and his students + Sakamoto (the Joy Boys) are together. Zenzou and the Mimawarigumi and Oboro. And then the girls, with Gintokis bokutou pointing directly at Tsuki you can't tell me that this drawing isn’t planned by Sorachi

THEN Sorachi so graciously went and wrote those wonderful chapters for us - 619, 620 and 624 in January 2017.

And then in the Gintama Hana Matsuri event in March 2017 the voice actors reenacted scenes from the Love Incense arc alongside the Scandal Arc, Popularity Poll Arc, Rakuyou Arc and Shogun Assassination Arc.

Immediately after this event, J-World Tokyo followed up by having a special Love Incense Event from April 2017-July 2017. (Look at all the sexy men especially Hijikata so sexy I can’t stand it, he’s the sexiest of them all. Nothing is hotter than dressing up as a bottle of mayo)

T-T I just... I just didn’t expect soo much from my pairing at all, okay. And I don’t dare to hope. I just don’t T-T

I have never thought of the day when I would see the arts on Pixiv for Gintsuki climbed from 80 over arts to almost 3000 arts. The astounding growth in popularity of course is due to Sorachi’s constant and consistent development of them throughout the years since Tsukuyo’s first appearance.

But one day it will be nice to remember that they have continuously given such nice fanservice for Gintsuki fans in many recent years in a row. Manga, Anime, Live Events, so many things T-T I’m so happy
