Happy WBW! What things are considered normal and acceptable in this society that would not be considered normal or acceptable in yours? (Examples: dueling, drugs, open homosexuality, polygamy, infanticide.)

Among shifters, its considered impolite to acknowledge things like scent or aura, things you can’t hide from those supernatural senses but would prefer people not to know. Where a human might tease a friend for blushing when they see their crush, a hyena would ignore it, possibly even change the subject to help hide the reaction.

Florida is most certainly not real. It starts out as the “South” and then gets more “Northern”??? Not to mention the evening tropical storms e v e r y d a y. Plus no one can drive in Orlando yet I never see accidents?? I think everyone made a deal with Satan to live there, it’s the US’s version of purgatory

Happy STS! When your character thinks of their childhood kitchen, what smell do they associate with it? Sauerkraut? Oatmeal cookies? Paint? Why is that smell so resonant for them?

Herbs. If Gil’s mother wasn’t cooking soups/breads, she was stirring potions and poultices. Between that and the plant smells his father would waft in through the windows, and the way Tybee’s sister Cordelia always smelled like garden, all Gil’s childhood smells are green

Happy WBW! What do people do in your world to relax? To take a breather? Is it the same for a lot of people? Does it vary between groups? Would you partake in any of their relaxing methods? :)

Surprisingly, a lot of shapeshifters do puppy piles, though for different reasons. In serpents, emotion is communicated through aura, so laying around in close physical contact help emotionally stabilize each other. In hyenas, the most dominant female aura tends to blanket anyone they touch, so hanging out watching movies with mom, grandma, or big sis is pretty common when you’ve had a bad day. Wolves touch to share power, so anyone who’s particularly high energy/stressed can let their alphas absorb it and put it to better use.

And yeah I would SUPER supernatural puppy pile :D

Happy WW! What is a highly desirable job in your world? What is a lowly and/or dangerous job in your world? (also, thank you for the update on your bagels lololol)

I think it all depends on what you want out of life. Tybee’s mantle as Heir of Stars and Moonlight would have been considered highly desirable by most, and Tybee literally rearranged the courts of Faery to get out of it. The fishermen Gil grew up around would probably be considered lowly, but Gil would have given anything to sail the sea without fear of the water. It’s all about perspective, ya know?
