jessi and gray were dating- almost everyone in the hiphop community knew. only the fans, other entertainers, and the press didn’t know. it went on like this for 3 years.
one day they were both on running man and kwangsoo has pointed out that they were very touchy-feely with each other. matter of fact, he pointed out not only how close they were but how they gave each other heart eyes, giggled together, gray clinging to her, jessi’s constant worry for him when he had to do something dangerous, her silent cursing at the director every time he told gray to do something he didn’t want to do, and how jessi flirted with him practically the entire time as well as her winks she kept on sending him; especially when she danced.
the other members and guests all stared at them and made curious sounds/noises. “ah, i’m jealous! i wish the men would stare at me like that!” somin said as everyone laughed. their attentions turned back to the trio as jessi punched kwangsoo in the arm and tried to deny it. “why are you so interested in me and my friend? do you want to join me?” she playfully challenged as kwangsoo shook his head. laughter filled the gymnasium at her statement.
as they started to play a game where it was truth twister. “jessi and gray!” everyone cheered and even joked. “it’s the bonnie and clyde couple!” jaesuk said as jessi whined to him. “no, it’s the ssentokki couple!” jiho said as gray dismissed it with his hand. the two thought they were safe until an unexpected question came up.
“this one is for jessi. are you dating someone?” the producer said as she looked up and raised a brow. “eh?” the producer started counting down and jessi screeched. “gray! i’m dating gray oppa!” everyone gasped and cheered while saying ‘i knew it’ or ‘cute’. she ended up in a split and called to the director. “hey! kangdonim! why did you ask me that question?!” she yelled at him as he flinched, not sure how to answer. “the members asked me to ask you.” curse words flew out her mouth as she moved her position and gray laughed.
after jessi’s team won the game, they were all taking a break on the floor, drinking water as they talked with jessi in the corner to cool down. gray walked over to her and played with her as they shared a water bottle. “we should tell them all together.” he mumbled as he buried his head in the crook of her neck, mumbling against it as she hugged back and giggled. “i mean, i’m okay with it.”
the others all noticed that the two were in the corner doing their own thing as they pulled their phones out to record them for evidence- and black mail. “aw, shit.” they heard and they contained their laughter as gray told her to tone it down with her cussing.
“excuse me, what are the two of you doing?” haha came up to them with the running man camera in their faces and recording. a gasp was heard and punches were followed. gray tried stopping her from actually beating him up; which she did stop. “why are you recording us?” she whined again and hid behind her lover.
they all side-eyes each other as gray reached for his pocket and spun around, landing on one knee with purple velvet box in one hand. her eyes watered and she put her hands on her mouth. “my ssenunni, will you marry me?”
everyone waited for her answer and she nodded, as he gave her a speech while placing the ring on her finger. “oh my god, yes.”
needless to say, the behind the scenes was aired and everyone was really supportive of their relationship. the clip became the highest viewed clip in korea and people wanted to see them on the return of superman.
