Look I'm not saying there isn’t an audience for both (and clearly there is based on my timeline) but recommending Black Sails if someone liked OFMD is like rec’ing The Wire if someone likes Brooklyn 99. Are they both shows about police with canon queer characters, a diverse cast, and a white male lead that’s a bit of a fuck up? Sure, but if you go into The Wire excited for some goofy humor and general hopeful view of society you’re gonna have a really bad time.
