And if you didn’t know, the descriptions for each panel have actually been out for awhile (and still going through minor revisions). Check it out though— I’m sure it’ll help you decide and just zoom through the selection process when it becomes available. :)

One thing I didn't understand very well... 1st April: you start accepting artists, 9th April: panel picking. Am I right?
You pick the panels on April 9th, via the online Excel document (available to everyone volunteering) we’re putting up on that day
on that document, you can type in your tumblr username and the top five panels that you’d like to work with. After 48 hours, we’ll assign panels to everybody who signed up.
If by any chance there’s still other panels open, then we’ll let people from previous GBL projects to make a claim.

Have you seen the lyricstuck for Levitate by Hollywood Undead? It's really cool and people might appreciate seeing it!
I'm sure they would and it's true that we at GBLS love seeing more lyricstucks in the fandom! If you're asking us to reblog it, though, I gotta say no--there are a couple blogs already that collect and display lyricstucks and we're not one of them.

sorry to bug yall with another suggestion, but theres this HUGE epic song that was real big back in my dads day, and i think it would work really well for this project. seriously, it's like eight minutes long and has a ton of lyrics to illustrate. ive been trying to plot a lyricstuck for it by myself for a while now but its just too huge of an undertaking for one person, which is why i thought of bringing it here. it's American Pie, by Don McClean. i really think it fits. thanks!!
American Pie is a great song! Whether the lyrics could be appropriate for a well-organized lyricstuck (which is to say, not just jumping randomly around to whatever moment is appropriate for each line) is a whole different matter. Lord knows it's long enough, though! I'll listen to it a couple times over sometime and see what I can get out of it. :D Thanks for the suggestion!
What about "White Shadows" by Coldplay? It's barely not long, but extremely dramatic and extremely epic, especially for Homestuck. Will you plan to do this song in the future?
I'll give it a listen but unless it's something really special I probably won't be inclined to go to the trouble of adding another song to the list... There are a lot of amazing songs that would make great lyricstucks, but we can only do so many. @u@
For "Marchin On", are you planning for there to be a picture on basically every single line/as many pictures as possible in order for the largest amount of artists possible to contribute? Or would that be too difficult to plan? Because you could do that in smaller sections, maybe, to keep it organized!
As many pictures as possible! By that point I'm hoping that the planning part of it will be much easier.
In regards to the hair colour question, maybe a good idea would be to add the base hair colour to the palettes, so artists can change the shading depending on the lighting and their style, without looking like the characters had just wandered through a hair-dye factory. Also, it'd be lovely if you could have a bit more of a warning for the next song casting - I can't really check the blog too often and missed the first announcement! Anyways, kudos for organizing this and setting up all this!
Err, okay, let me address one thing at a time...
This is a valid idea! I mean, I'm not sure I really want to deal with supplying character color schemes as well, but at the same time everyone knows that the trolls are gray with black hair, while the humans are a little bit more open to interpretation. I'll think on it when I get into making palettes.
I had been making posts about the next set of lyricstuck a couple days before I started it. While it's true I kept things moving along pretty soon after Some Nights was finished (I admit I'm impatient to get these done), I think everyone who's actually following the blog was aware of what was happening.
Rather than checking in occasionally, maybe you should follow the blog or track the tag "greatbiginfo". You'll get all the posts pertaining to artists working on Dog Days right now, which I guess would be kind of weird, but you'll also know exactly what's happening.
