Really excited to be planning our next big trip! We're hiring a campervan with a couple of friends of ours, and will hopefully be visiting a few places on a route that takes in Hungary, Serbia, Montengro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and finally Croatia. Specifics to be worked out but we're definitely going through Belgrade, which we're super exited about! So you may be wondering why this is accompanied by a photo of miserable weather? In May 2014 we visited Belgrade for 5 days, as part of the second city we were exploring on a 10 day trip (the other being Skopje, Macedonia). But for the first 72 hours, the city and surrounding areas in Serbia were hit with non-stop torrential rain (the most since records began 120 years ago). The Danube and Sava rivers swelled up so much that even though this was the first time we'd set eyes on them, we could tell the water level was high.
