It was my Dad’s .. I noticed it years ago while looking for something else. I had originally kept the book because it was one of my Dad’s books. He passed away when I was 15 and it had a connection to what we what we now know was a Motility/Digestive Disease issue. I look at the world from a perspective of no coincidences. It is not surprising our community is provided insight into the source of how this problem was addressed. Why is it still riding a wave of resurgence in Motility community? Perhaps it is the frustration of lack of answers? Perhaps it is an inherent gender bias in our culture? Whatever it is I believe our compassionate, empathetic, advocate Voices will be our solution to this issue. If we are calmly, consistently dedicated to standing up together for each other.. we will baby step our way forward. It will not be fast enough. I will not lie. Yet we will get there! Yesterday wasn’t fast enough, but inaction without applying our vast amount of unique talents, skills, spoons, passion, would be an unanswerable question of endless speculation. Why ask it when we know what our possibilities are when we all speak up & out? It is like hearing a Hallelujah Choir!
