#incurable2curable #Gastroparesis #CureGP #Green4GP #FactFriday #Advocacy takes many hours and days as well as unexpected turns. Today is one those days. While getting ready for a follow Doctor’s appt the news was on and it was announced the death by suicide of Anthony Bourdain. While, of course, he was not personally known by many of us? We sat with him many many many hours over recipes we would never be able eat, nor places we would be go to, in many of travels. Yet through his of storytelling and unique storytelling abilities he took us there on numerous platforms. He made us forget we “couldn’t “ on so many occasions!” He made us forget our limitations and made us believe in our humanity. He made us believe in the “hope” of eating of ourselves personally and the hope of our humanity/creativity of our America in a better day of tomorrow. While he had obviously been losing his hope in himself, he was giving us our hope. We must let ourselves be brighter #Empathy for each other in the coming days. It is people like Anthony who can create spaces like #PartsUnkown showing us how our communities can speak, live, be with each other. We can create recipes we cannot even eat, dine with/ in countries we cannot see eye to eye with, but find a way to be civil with them in the most uncivil of times.
