देश में नेशनल हाइड्रोजन मिशन की चर्चा जोर-शोर से चलाई जा रही हैं। आपको बता दे कि अभी हाल में बीते स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर प्रधानमंत्री ने इस मिशन का खास ऐलान किया और बताया कि 2047 तक भारत ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में आत्मनिर्भर होगा। इसके लिए गैस आधारित अर्थव्यवस्था बनाई जा रही है जिससे विदेशों से करोड़ों डॉलर का पेट्रोल-डीजल आयात न करना पड़े। इस दिशा में नेशनल हाइड्रोजन मिशन अहम रोल निभाएगा जिससे ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन गैस पैदा की जाएगी।

जहां तक बात हाइड्रोजन की है तो कई वर्षों से फैक्ट्रियों में इसका इस्तेमाल होता आ रहा है। लेकिन अब बात ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन की हो रही है। यानी कि हाइड्ऱोजन का निर्माण रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी के तौर पर हो। इसके लिए कई विधियां अपनाई जाएंगी जिनमें सबसे अहम है इलेक्ट्रोलाइजर विधि। इस विधि में पानी को बिजली की मदद से ऑक्सीजन और हाइड्रोजन में तोड़ना है। यानी कि बिजली की मदद से पानी को तोड़ना। अगर यहां बिजली रिन्यूएबल सोर्स ले ली जाए तो उससे पैदा होने वाली हाइड्रोजन गैस को ही ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन कहेंगे।
