Alexis pressed the plumber closer against the wall, glaring out at the explosions beyond. He waited until it seemed that they had begun to clear, finally backing away from the taller man.
Blood?“Merde,” he muttered, taking a look at the overalls and the spot of red. “Shrapnel must have caught you.”One hand curled into a tight fist. “I keep telling them to not play their childish death games in areas where the civilians are!”
Gently, Alexis helped the plumber slide down, seated against the wall. “Stay still - there are first aid kits scattered with the health packs, and I don’t want to risk making it worse by moving you to them.”
