I tried researching this recipe on google to find the actual name of this dish, but no luck! I can't give it a name either because I didn't think of it myself. My sister learned this recipe from a man who use to be a sushi chef, and now i'm here to share it with you guys! =)
Box of greenshell mussels
Japanese mayonnaise (I use miracle whip)
Thats what it looks like in case you guys didn't know what to look for and it comes frozen. Unless you have access to fresh ones you should definitely buy those =D
Okay so the first thing you're going to do is steam the mussel, I use a steamer pan.
First boil the water on high before putting the mussels in.
Take it out and de-shell it. All you do is pull it off of its shell and when you do this there is a piece of white stuff left behind that looks like scallop: if you want to eat it I recommend using a knife or the top edge of the shell to remove it, but other than that you can just get rid of it. Once you've done that move the mussels to a cutting board and start mincing.
Once you're done mincing put it in a bowl along with the mayonnaise, sriracha, black pepper, and basil.
I like eating this with plain white rice!
Hope you guys enjoy this recipe!
