i found nana's situation fascinating cuz she didn’t deserved to have her kid kidnapped by mafia because of her mafia husband or begin abused/abandoned/blamed by said husband
but she won’t make a good mama so its good tsunayuno was taken by a rival famieli/adopt and raised away and wasn't sealed or neglected/bullied as dame-tuna
and yuno wants to both her to get better physically, but not give her family and son back because nana wants to make his life worst in her fantasy family
she's grey area and harder to deal with

The hardest person to deal in the mess is Sawada Nana, because she still obssessed with her abuser, has a twisted view on family and keep having mental breakdowns/not eating when Yuno set bondaries and refuses to be 'her Tsu-chan' or tries to leave her to be free
Nana started as this anorexic and insoniac, nearly-dead broken woman who lost her baby and her husband abandoned her for 15 years, then she she starts showing some really worring traits...
Crying in relief at eating his food, refusing to allow Yuno out of her sight, calling him Tsu-chan like he's a baby, babytalking and acting like a naive teen girl, insiting Iemitsu when come home to see 'Tsuna' they all will be a happy family like nothing happening, actings like its a done deal Yuno will live in Namimori, clingling to him physically...
Nana's lowkey like Canon, just more traumatized and mentally unstable and broken, but obssessed with Yuno because he a 'good son', not like Dame-Tsuna
I don't say she deserved what happen (good as it ended up begin, given his birth fam is abusive, he was rescued by his better foster fam), but she does not deserve children!
She wants Iemitsu back home (and using her new fond perfect son to get him back) and her fantasy family and ignored what doesn’t fit, like her son begin adopted and prefering to stay with them, how both Nana and Iemitsu are awful parents and Iemitsu abused the hell out of her, she ignores her own condition...
Nana's stuck at 19 mentally I think. Thats why she call him Tsu-chan not Tsu-kun, she wants to pick up where they left 15 years ago like nothing happened.
She is frail and broken, anorexic and insoniac and keep having panic attacks, reality is just too much for her and she was so happy because she's 'getting her family back now her son was home', but then Yuno, after months still refused...everything, still called her Nana and demanded to be called Yuno, insisted he will live in Karakura, called her selfish and denied any hug, food or love from Nana...
(Months and nearly a year pass and Yuno watches amused as the realization creep in his tutor and 'Guardians' that they failed to make him fond of them and accopt their little mold and fully planned revenge on his bloody throne)
Nana, like many others, treat the whole thing like her son made his glorious return, beautiful family reunion, and tried to act like a mother (scolding, and trying to cook) while the mafia ones are like the Vongola Decimo is back to be their boss and last hope of inheriting the Famiglia,...

Yuno pities Nana and tries to (coldly) cares for her, but refuses to play house.
Nana is scared of the Kurosaki taking Tsuna from her or him leaving her forever, but Iemitsu is the one taking Yuno from his family and stealing him from Nana too for Vongola
Nana selfishly wants to use Yuno to 'fix' her broken family while ignoring his already good foster family she was trying to take him from! She starts to hate that they 'deny' her the right because she wanted a loving family like the Kurosaki too! Its wasn't fair!
She also seen to ignore her condition, of anorexia and insonia, of fainting and havinga anxiety attacks.
Nana refuses to blame her husband (or even questions his lies) for what happened and still wants him and acts like they weren’t a broken family with a lost son, begging Yuno to stay with her and abandon his life and identity to make her happy
Iemitsu's mafia enemies is what got him kidnapped after all
Nana is trying hard to get her happiness back. But her idea of happiness is twisted, and requires sacrificing Yuno's so...complex
Nana keep trying to mother him, buts its pushy and superficial, she still called the home tutor and loves Iemitsu.
Yuno is caring for her during those 6-ish months because he cannot just leave her in that state (and it will make his life hardest if she keep getting worse), Nana is both better and worse because while he cooks and make her take naps, he still coldly and hostile refused to be her 'darling cute little Tsu-chan' and openly insults Iemitsu's cruelty and incompetency and lack of protection (while telling her how the Kurosaki are better).
Yuno hate the name Tsunayoshi with a passion tho and screams at everyone that calls him that
Was cruel of Yuno to be glad he was kidnapped instead of raised by this crazy people (who dared try to lecture him like a child and pretend they are his parents just becaude of blood)?
He would avenge Nana, but never be her son.
Yuno made it clear his kidnapping by a rival family was good because he was raised by a actual good family instead of those two nutjobs he renounced as family (the insults the Sawada a lot, and praises the Kurosaki), but to Nana's despair.
