Oh, now that I think about it... Scar, did you let Grian get to look at the log on the portal? I'm sure the Rift qualifies as a weird portal too and this Grian studies the Rift. So... If they are similar... Well, I don't know how it could help find Doc exept asking "Hey, does any weird portal acted strangely on your side?" and hoping Doc found himself on the other side... -Griffin
The Infinity Portal and the rift are definitely connected, that’s for sure. But I didn’t have time to do any extensive stuff like what they’ve got here, sadly. And like Scar, my talents aren’t really in redstone…
We did find a small energy surge from around the time Doc went missing, though. Probably portal activation. And that’s probably what made the aliens freak out, too.
I vote to have Scar tries to charmspeak the portal before trying the rope, even if it's worth a shot. At worse it doesn't change anything, right? -griffin
