Wait Bdubs was covered in leaves and vines? Like season 8 kind of leaves or just leaves? Because It might be important depending on answer.

Or It's just me being a little confuse about the whole Bdubs and his connection to portal part in general... Or It could be the fact that I'm trying to use my brain at almost five in the morning of my time. Is It 5 am in hermitcraft? Or time work differently for us and you two? Scratch that I'm pretty sure time work different for us.

Something happened to Bdubs in that jungle, I know it, but I also... don’t think that it was that big of a deal? Sometimes things happen and you end up with plants growing on you. I guess.

ah, now. i do not want to worry you all, but some things have been brought up regarding our being able to observe other timelines...

...it bears mentioning that, at least to my observation, doc may have been a little possessed during at least parts of this point in time. or at the very least, some sort of borderline unnatural obsession with aliens and breaking the bounds of the universe.

Not- not possessed, I don’t think- probably not possessed... I would have noticed if he’d been possessed... but, uh, obsessive? Yes. Very obsessive. He’s- well, I can’t say I haven’t been concerned about him. He lost his best friends, you know, last season- this whole thing is... sort of an attempt to at least find out what’s happened to them.

But- wait, Bdubs has landed in Keralis’ pool already, what about-

Doc doesn’t think he’s real. Or all right in terms of still being... Bdubs.

the sprout messenger is very wise! we do our best with what we know but most of us don’t know any more than you do. just more brains to work on the same problem.

that said—scar, was anything else up with the aliens? any new anomalies around the server since grian’s arrival or doc’s disappearance?

Ah- no. Honestly, alien activity has been kinda quiet around here, other than the ones we already know about. It’s been... weirdly quiet, actually. But Doc and I had our hands full enough with the work we already had.

doc has a connection to a hivemind

is it possible to reach that and use it to locate him?

A… hivemind? I mean, uh, Doc’s mentioned hearing voices before, but I don’t think I could actually contact them. Not that I don’t think they’re real or anything, but the idea I’ve gotten from Doc is that they can’t really do much. They just give him ideas for stuff, I guess.

First : if you charmspeak the portal, can you tell us what happen? Second : Yes, maybe asking/visiting Tango and Bdubs is a good idea. Third : we didn't ask Grian about 100 hours or the jump into the void. Considering moon crashing didn't happen, jumping into the void to avoid it (Scar's idea by the way) probably didn't happen

Yeah, we’ll tell you what happens with either of those! I think Scar and I are going over to Keralis and Bdubs’ later today, so stay tuned…

And 100 Hours, days, whatever did happen, that was just sort of a vacation thingy. I was intending to vacation by myself for a hundred days, but then Joel and Scar crashed my party.

Leaving Season Eight, Scar built a rocket to take us to the next world. That’s… about it. We usually disassemble stuff at the start of a new world, and then put it back together better to get to the next one. So that happened as usual.

So I have a bit of a question for Grian. You’ve described the rift as a ‘weak point between worlds’ (or at least, the you from our world). If that’s actually true, does that rule out time travel? Or was it simply the best way the best way you could describe it? - AWC

Well, the truth is, I’m not really sure what the rift is. I had some theories, and I thought the most likely was a portal to another world, but it could be a weak point between times, as well. I didn’t have enough time to really start studying it, unfortunately.

I didn’t- uh, I didn’t make the time machine. Really. Cross my heart. Well, I kind of did, I put it together, but I didn’t design it or anything. It was already functioning when I found it, I just had to make some repairs.

Well, visiting Keralis sounds like the least questionable plan that’s been made so far, so I’d say go for it!

Ooh, an adventure to see two thirds of the big eye crew... I think it might help to see them if it doesn't raise too much suspicion! Scar could always pretend to be chaperoning you so you don't cause too much hippie trouble, and I will gladly take any excuse to watch Bdubs have his sleep delayed, even if only by a little. It's funny. 🌱

Oh, having Scar pretend to be my chaperone would be a great idea—Keralis and Bdubs don’t live too far from Area 77 anyway, so we’ll probably be able to get in and out without the hippies catching us.

At this point, Bdubs is… um… well, I’m not sure how to explain it.

Bdubs fell out of the sky all covered in leaves ad vines and stuff! Doc and I offered to try to figure out how to remove them, see if they were dangerous, but Bdubs insisted he wanted to keep them. So!

…and I don’t think he’s ever met me yet.

To answer your question, Grian... Some of us have seen a lot. Some of us less so. It depends how long we've been watching. And I mean watching, not Watching. We aren't like Them, in any capacity... I suppose you could think of us as fragments of a universe that has been watching part of itself, in a way. And us being able to help you, now, is the universe's way of helping, too. We really have no more power than you give us, in the end. This fragment has been around for a very long time, but most seem to be newer to the world. Take that as you will. 🌱

I think I understand what you’re saying. You’re spectators. You can’t do anything to help us other than send these messages. And you’ve spectated this before, at different times, in different places. That’s… weird, but I can understand it.

It's reasonable to worry about Martyn, I know I certainly am if They're involved, but I can't really see much of a correlation right now unless the portal brought Doc to Them somehow... I can't think of any other links he might have to Them, at least. 🌱

Doc being involved just doesn’t make sense. If this was a Watcher thing, and we were looking for Martyn, that would make sense. But Doc? What connection does Doc have to this?

Somehow, charming the portal sounds like both the best and worst idea possible... Don't do it too well, Scar, or you might accidentally give a sentient portal a crush. And that would be very awkward, on all accounts. 🌱

The good news is, it seems the ending of season 8 is the only major discrepancy between our set of events and yours, Grian. The bad news is, this doesn't really give us any leads, barring somewhere neither of you would know exists, let alone how to access... And I doubt RB and GF would be too pleased with interference if it endangered any of you or wasn't actually needed. So I guess that's a dead end for now. 🌱

RB and GF? Yeah, I totally have no idea what you’re talking about.

I think the next course of action is probably something to do with the portal… or talk to Keralis. He’s the only other one to ever go through that thing, right, Scar?
