2018 Visconti Cassinis Ravizza Vicara “G” Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese

Escaping the humans who have invaded my sanctuary during the day for too many weeks. This stuff is awesome and makes me grin. Strawberries and more strawberries on the nose with ripe cherry and cranberry notes. This wine totally knocks my shiba socks off. Great acidity and surprising tannins. Fresh strawberries, cherries, and cranberries on the palate. Just great stuff. You must drink it. Especially if you’re cooped up with annoying humans all day.

Finalmente provando os vinhos da @CaDelProfeta — vinícola italiana do jogador @HernanesOJ, o “Profeta”. • Este é o “Saudade 2016”, um vinho da DOC Grignolino d’Asti, no Piemonte (em Montaldo Scarampi), elaborado com uvas 100% Grignolino e sem passagem por barricas. • Na taça tem cor vermelho-grená claro. Aromas de frutas vermelhas maduras, floral e um toque de alcaçuz. Na boca é seco, tem corpo medio-, acidez moderada e taninos de média intensidade e boa qualidade. Sabores de fruta vermelha com longa persistência. • Gostei!! Vinho fresco e muito equilibrado, gostoso e fácil de beber! Não guarde, já está no ponto! Completely clear blue-purple.  Yummy fresh fruit in the nose, juicy and sweet, with a slight tarry background. Bright strawberry and the salty air of tomato. Certainly an oddball--but the premiere producer of this oddball. hadn't visited this wine for at least a decade and BAM it pops up on a list right here in the NAPA-FREE-ZONE known as "The Central Coast". Such a beautiful lunch wine--I couldn't resist. In the mouth, fortunately not as sweet and fruity as the nose would suggest.
